The weather nearly put paid to the show again this year. Friday evening a lorry delivering marquees sank into the grass near
the exit and gave cause for concern regarding potential accidents. After an hours consultation everything was deemed OK so
all hands to the pumps to erect tents and and prepare the show ground. The race was never in doubt but would not have been
the same without the show. As it turned out the weather on the day was superb and the wet exit not to much of a problem.
The cows from the next farm had made sure the race route was well trodden, which made the decent very exciting and the
return through the woods very heavy, considering this, Nick was only 24 seconds off Steve Penney's record and had also
won the Thurlstone Chase the day before, part of the 3in3 challenge along with the Trunce tomorrow.
