    Shropshire Junior Fellrunning Series


    Mercia Fell Runners (in association with Ludlow Runners, Newport and District RC, Shrewsbury AC and Telford AC) are pleased to present a summer series of junior races for all age groups U10 and up (i.e. children aged 8 years or more on 1st January 2012). There are four races in the series:

      Wednesday April 25th, 7:30pm - Wrekin Streak
      Venue: Forest Glen, Wellington (the car park at the bottom of the Wrekin), grid ref.:638093
      U10/U12s in junior race 1.4km/105m starting immediately after the main race; U14/U16/U18s in the main race
      Wednesday May 30th, 7:30pm - Batch Bash
      Venue: Yew Tree Inn, All Stretton, SY6 6HG, grid ref: 459954
      U10/U12/U14s in junior races starting immediately after main race; U16/U18s in main race
      Wednesday July 18th, 7:30pm - Stiperstones
      Venue: Stiperstones Inn, Stiperstones, SY5 0LZ, grid ref: 364005
      U10/U12/U14s in junior races starting immediately after main race; U16/U18s in main race
      Wednesday August 22nd, 7pm - Ragleth Inn
      Venue: Ragleth Inn, Little Stretton, SY6 6RB, grid ref: 444919
      U10/U12/U14/U16s in junior races starting immediately after main race; U18s in main race. Note earlier start for this race

    There will be small prizes for all runners in the junior races on the day together with category prizes and series prizes.

    Please remember that all juniors must have parental consent to run – this can either be done by sending a completed parental consent form for the entire series (or all activities) with children to the first race they attend, or by coming to the races with them and signing the bottom of the entry form in person. We have to be absolutely crystal clear that without parental consent juniors (i.e. anyone under the age of 18 on the day of the race) will not be allowed to run, and we would hate to disappoint any kids, so please ensure that the paperwork is in place before bringing anyone else’s kids to the races.     Please do bring your kids and any others you know to these events – we’re really keen to get a good series off the ground in the Midlands.
