Please, follow this link to find out more information about Joss Naylor's bronze statue that is being auctioned for Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team.

The New Rescue Base was officially open in 2018 by Joss Naylor where he cut the ribbon (which was actually baler twine) with his sheep sheering scissors. The sculpture was created by the famous Cumbrian sculpture Paul Bainbridge in 2008 to celebrate Joss's achievement of running 70 Lakeland Peaks on his 70th birthday.  When Paul found out about Joss passing away, he donated the bronze resin statue of the legendary fell runner to be auctioned to raise money for the Wasdale Mountain Rescue Charity.
